Born: 1424, Dunscaith Castle, on the shores
of Sgathac, Scotland.
Only daughter of Donald & Faindre.
Favored niece of Dudley, High Cheiftain of the Clan Donald. Orphaned at an
early age, parents murdered by brigands who sought shelter on a stormy nite
in 1429. I was spared as I was visiting with my cousins at their Dun that
evening.
I was taken in by my uncle (who had 8 sons and no daughters) and raised as
his own. I leaned the home arts (under duress) as well as how to read and
write in our native tongue as well as French. Being raised with 8 boys, I
also learned how to fight, fence and sail and helped in the ‘family’
business of shipping. (The MacDonalds are infamous privateers (read pirates)
when the mood hits them (boredom and a quest for adventure).
My Aunt had wanted me to marry, settle down and have many children. I am not
the settling down type. Having spent much of my youth sailing with my
cousins, and having a head for numbers and adventure, for my 20th birthday,
my uncle presented me with a ship and crew and encouraged my entry into the
family business, part privateer, part agent of his Majesty King James II,
part pirate.
I have had many adventures in the last several years and my journeys have
taken me from my native land through Europe, to the Italian and Greek
Coasts, and to my favorite port of Constantinople.
If you were to ask me my skills, I would say that I have some experience in
many things, but have no specialty, am always learning something new and
take great pleasure in singing and having fun. My head is more for business
then it is wifely arts, though I do spin and in a pinch can make do in the
kitchen or sewing room (though I prefer other things). I am best with
numbers, strategy and negotiation/mediation (either by words or the sword).
I have had the opportunity, while traveling in Europe, to come into the
company His Grace, Duke Kyrin Baroosa Edred Aroyyo Von Draken. I have
decided to follow his household on their travels and see where it takes me.
I am most often in the company of Shen Lung, a Chinese Merchant of the
Household of with whom I share several interests.
